Tuska 2026: Tuska Friday to a new Single-Day Attendance Record with 23 000 Visitors
Tuska’s opening day in Suvilahti, Helsinki topped last year’s single-day attendance record, gathering 23 000 metal fans. The sweaty day was topped off by a light drizzle that only added freshness to the atmosphere, as Dave Mustaine and his band commanded the Suvilahti field as part of Megadeth’s farewell tour.
At the Karhu Main Stage, in addition to the headliner, the crowd was energized by Finland’s own metal frontrunners Lost Society, who ignited ferocious circle pits, Swedish dance-metal veteran Pain, and the day’s opener, American death metal powerhouse Gatecreeper. Over on the Radio City Stage, peak performances came from Japanese metal legends Loudness, Finnish melodic death metal act Bloodred Hourglass, and the American psychedelic death metal band Blood Incantation. Meanwhile, the Nordic Energy Stage featured standout performances by reggae-metal acts Skindred and aurorawave, as well as a field-filling show by Warmen.
At Tiivistämö’s KVLT Stage, the atmosphere was expectedly intense as acts such as extreme metal group Kneel Before The Death, German funk rock ensemble Slope, and genre-defying Nenerchy packed the venue to the brim.
We’ll be back tomorrow for day 2 with Tuska’s gates opening at 13:00. Thank you for today!
