Despiser

Despiser stands at the core of Oulu’s new wave of metal. The band fuses melancholic Northern melodies with more ferocious, hard-hitting elements, exploring life through death and death through life. Originally formed in Oulu in 2017, the band later relocated south and took its current shape in 2023.

The band is set to release its debut EP ahead of the 2026 festival summer, and their first music video, Live for Nothing, was unleashed on January 29.
