Behind the name Hokka stand two significant figures in the history of Finnish rock: former Blind Channel vocalist Joel Hokka and The Rasmus founding member and former guitarist–songwriter Pauli Rantasalmi. The new power trio is completed by young drummer prodigy Jimi Aslak.

Hokka’s debut single “In the Darkness” showcases the core elements of the band’s sound: deep, dark, and cold Nordic melancholy fused with a modern rock edge. Hokka’s music channels the spirit of early-2000s Finnish rock while boldly venturing into new territory with uncompromising energy and ambition.

Hokka steps straight into the proud front line of Finnish rock. Fortunately, Tuska gets to be a part of the journey right from the beginning. This is where it starts.
