Tuska 2025: The All-Time Record-Breaking Tuska Friday Drew 22 000 Visitors
The opening day of Tuska, celebrated at Suvilahti in Helsinki, brought together 22,000 metalheads—marking the biggest Friday attendance in Tuska’s history. Even the evening rain couldn’t dampen the festival spirits as the Tuska crowd let loose after a year of anticipation.
On the Karhu Main Stage, fans were treated to high-energy performances from the day’s headliner and long-time Tuska favorite, the pioneers of the Gothenburg melodeath sound In Flames. Also commanding the stage were the crowd-winning German party machine Electric Callboy and the American hardcore-driven Knocked Loose.
Over at the Radio City Stage, the tent was filled to capacity with acts like Sweden’s violincore phenomenon Imminence and the darkly artistic Skynd. The Nordic Energy Stage hosted a packed field with Tarja’s elegant show and the high-octane video game metal act DragonForce.
The intimate KVLT Stage by Inferno at Tiivistämö once again featured sweat-drenched, jam-packed sets from acts such as leather-clad heavy metal patrol Tyrantti, deathcore newcomer Enemies Everywhere, grindcore duo Vähäkyrö Drive-by, and Norwegian stoner rockers Bokassa.
Tomorrow, Saturday, we go again! The gates open for the second day of Tuska at 1:00 PM. Thank you for today!
