Tuska Saturday was a celebration of metal encounters

Saturday marked the second day of Tuska in Suvilahti, Helsinki, celebrated under the shining sun and in the merciful embrace of metal music. Old friends were met and new acquaintances were made. There were 20,000 people in attendance.

Tuska Saturday kicked off right from the early afternoon with performances by Jarkko Martikainen on the Radio City Stage, Arion pounding on the Nordic Energy Stage, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus playing on the Karhu Main Stage, and Bisa tearing it up on the Tiivistämö KVLT Stage by Inferno. The evening, in turn, concluded with German band Powerwolf’s epic power metal theater and crowd roaring on the Karhu Main Stage. In between, there was an incredible number of great gigs, spanning from one metal genre to another. Thanks to everyone for Tuska Saturday!

On Tuska Sunday, on the other hand, strong gusty winds are expected, which may affect the festival schedules and arrangements. We recommend following Tuska’s channels for updates as the situation develops.

There has also been a schedule change for Sunday: due to production-related reasons, the set times for Nothing More and Battle Beast have been switched. Battle Beast will now perform on the Nordic Energy Stage at 18:00, and Nothing More at 20:15.
