MEGADETH

One of the headliners at Tuska 2026 is none other than Megadeth, a cornerstone of thrash metal’s legendary “Big Four” alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax. In 2026, Megadeth will release what is set to be their final, selftitled studio album and embark on an extensive farewell tour – with their Tuska performance being a proud part of it.

Formed in 1983 and led by the iconic Dave Mustaine, Megadeth has been instrumental in defining the rules of thrash metal, laying down a solid foundation upon which generations of metal bands have since built. Mustaine and his crew have released numerous timeless albums such as “Rust in Peace”, “Countdown to Extinction”, and “Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying?” – records that have sold millions upon millions worldwide.

Currently, Megadeth’s lineup features Finnish guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari, known to many from his time with Wintersun, making it all the more special that the band’s farewell tour reaches Finland, and luckily for us, lands at Tuska. So, let’s raise our horns one more time for Megadeth!
