Travelling to and from Tuska by Metro

On the nights of Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June, the Metro will operate for two hours longer than usual between Helsinki city center, Kalasatama and Vuosaari in Eastern Helsinki. On the night of Sunday 30 June, the Metro will operate for approximately one hour longer than usual.

Since the Tuska festival area Suvilahti is located right next to Kalasatama Metro Station, the Metro is an easy choice for travelling to the festival and back to downtown Helsinki. The metro station also has a direct access to the wristband exchange point in the shopping center REDI. Use the HSL Journey Planner to find the best route for your journey (CLICK HERE)

During the Tuska festival, there will be major changes to metro services in Helsinki city center and in Eastern Helsinki. The Metro will not run to the Central Railway Station Metro Station during the summer. In Helsinki city center, metro trains will terminate at the University of Helsinki Metro Station, which is located on Kaisaniemenkatu, next to Helsinki Central Railway Station and the Railway Square. The Metro will run to and from Kalasatama Metro Station as usual during the summer.

When heading to Tuska, you can take any metro train from the University of Helsinki Metro Station, since all services departing from the station will stop at Kalasatama. In daytime, the Metro will run every five minutes between Helsinki city center, Kalasatama and Itäkeskus.
